What's My Routine?

I love discussing regimens; therefore, I was happy when asked to write about one of my favorite skin care routines. I typically do this regimen using Environ products the night before an event, however I had to build-up to this level to ensure there were no sensitivities. This process is great when I want to be camera-ready because it leaves my skin softer, smoother, and more vibrant.   

Step 1:

Cleansing: I start with a Pre-cleansing Oil to remove makeup and toxins that may have accumulated throughout the day. Layered on top of that, is the Hydrating Clay Mask that attaches to keratinized cells and absorbs excess oil. I then use the Skin Essentia Lotion Cleanser to pick up anything that may have been left behind. This is followed by Moisturizing Toner to hydrate the skin with the use of humectants and botanicals.

Step 2:

Rolling: I take my 14k gold-plated microneedling roller at .2mm and roll the skin vertically, horizontally, and diagonally for 3-5 minutes. This creates microchannels in the skin for products to penetrate more effectively.

Step 3:

Exfoliating: I sit for about 20 minutes with my favorite mask, the Tri BioBotanical Revival Masque and then remove it with water. This mask is a combination of lactic, mandelic, and asiatic acids. The combination of acids exfoliate, brighten, and tighten the appearance of the skin.   

Step 4:

Enhancing: This is where I use my new device, the DF mobile. It is a modality that utilizes sonophoresis and pulsed iontophoresis for product enhancement. I apply Avance Elixir, which is full of collagen building peptides, and then focus the DF mobile on the eye area for about 5 minutes.  

Step 5:

Replenishing: Now is the perfect time to apply my plethora of Environ products; following sonophoresis the skin is more permeable for 3-4 hours. The first product I apply is Youth Essentia Vita-peptide Eye Gel packed with nutrients including vitamins A, C, E and peptides. I then apply Peptide Enriched Frown Serum to my forehead and around my eyes, this is full of neuropeptides that have been shown to slow down muscle contraction over time. My new favorite product, the 3D Synergy Filler Cream, comes next. It contains hyaluronic acid stimulating ingredients as well as new ingredients to plump and volumize the skin. And finally, my vitamin cocktail, I combine Vita-peptide C-Quence Serum 4 plus, Antioxidant Defence Cream +, and Concentrated Retinol Serum 3. This ensures I have my essential vitamins A, C, E along with antioxidants, even more peptides, and moisturizers.
